BLOCS Student Update

Allied Wire & Cable Presents BLOCS Scholarship CheckEarlier this year, Allied Wire & Cable teamed up with Philadelphia-area non-profit, Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) to provide more than 100 scholarships to students in need through a $250,000 donation.

Scholarships went to students of all ages at several Catholic schools in the area, including Pope John Paul II High School, Holy Rosary Catholic School, Presentation BVM and St. Francis of Assisi.

Now that we are about half-way through the school year, we wanted to give an update on how some of the students are doing. We received several thank you notes from the scholarship recipients and their families and wanted to share their kind words. After all, Allied is only able to give back to the community through these programs thanks to the support of our customers, who have helped us grow into the company we are today. These words are just as much a thank you to you as they are to the Allied family.

Dear Mr. Flynn,

I would like to thank you for the generous donation you have made to PJP. Not only will it benefit my education but help me deepen my Catholic faith by being in a wonderful environment that promotes it on a day to day basis. I can’t thank you enough for this. My family and I are grateful for the financial support that the scholarship provides.

Sincerely,

Dominique

Dear Allied Wire & Cable, Inc.,

I wanted to take the time to thank you so very much for your generous donation to Holy Rosary Catholic school. Because of your donation, I am now able to send my twins to Catholic school this year. They will be in 2nd grade. Because of your company, you have made my children very happy.

Thanks again!

Jennifer

I wanted to give you an extra thanks for granting me the money for my son’s tuition. He attends Holy Rosary Catholic School in Plymouth. The amount we received was $2,083 and we gracefully appreciate the help.

Thank you,

Sonia

We are happy to hear that all of the students are doing well and enjoying school. Allied Wire & Cable has made a two year commitment to BLOCS and looks forward to helping additional students next fall.
