Read all about it! Allied Wire & Cable was featured in the August 28-September 3 2009 edition of the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the largest family-owned local businesses. The list was compiled using information from the listed companies and businesses were ranked by size. Out of all the other businesses listed, Allied is the highest ranked business that’s been around for the shortest length of time. In fact, only two other business were founded after Allied, and both were ranked below us at under half the size!

Also included in the list are business that have been around since 1873 (Gilbane Building Co), 1896 (David Michael & Co) and 1903 (EP Henry)! We’re all very excited to be included alongside these successful family-run businesses, and all from our local area. The Gilbane Building Co is currently owned by the great-grandsons of the original founder – Someday, we hope to join them in the ranks of multi-generation-run history.
